Lobbies

 

Each section of the resort has its own lobby. You will be dropped off at the respective lobby depending on which section you are staying in. In each lobby are the main check-in areas.

Check-in is at 3:00 p.m. and check-out is at 12:00 noon. Front desk is available 24 hours a day.

The lobby has comfortable seating scattered throughout the areas. You'll often see groups hanging around, finishing their last drink before getting on the bus to go back home.

You can also find a variety of services here including:

Currency Exchange

  • change most home currencies into Pesos
  • cash in travellers cheques
  • get cash from your credit card (service fee is charged)

Box lunches

  • order at the front desk and pick up at the front desk
  • US$6.00 per lunch and usually contains a sandwich, fruit, drink; great for a day off the resort

Guest services desk

  • book a la carte reservations here, highly recommend to book these as soon as you check in to get the times and restaurants you prefer

Lost and found

  • if you've lost something or found something, here's the place to drop it off or look for it.

Bell service

  • bell staff can carry your bags to your room
  • bell staff are also handy if you want to change larger bills to smaller bills for tips

Taxis

  • ask a bellboy to get you a taxi

Mail

  • stamps are available at the gift shop, drop off your mail at guest services
  • the mail is fairly slow so don't be surprised if you arrive home before your postcards

Excursion desks

  • book a large variety of tours around the area at a variety of companies that are set up here
  • Vacaciones Barcelo is the resort's official tour company is also available here

Travel agency and tour operator representatives

  • your tour company representatives have a desk here, departure flights and buses are posted in each lobby

Bars and shopping

Shops and bars are also located in each lobby.

Information

 There are information stations, posters, board with information on:

  • activities for the day
  • show scheduled in the theatre for that night
  • buffet theme nights
  • taxi rates
  • cost for rooms
  • Catholic service schedules

Newspapers

There are also copies of the Miami Herald for reading in the lobby.
